Shelby Natasha is a Seattle-based artist, gusheng player, and music producer whose sound blends alt-R&B and Chinese folk music. Influenced by her upbringing between China and the Pacific Northwest, her ethereal vocals are accompanied by the traditional Chinese instrument, Guzheng, and layered over lo-fi beats. She has played in festivals

Influenced by her upbringing between China and the Pacific Northwest, her ethereal vocals are accompanied by the traditional Chinese instrument, Guzheng, and layered over lo-fi beats. She has played in festivals such as Oregon Country Fair, Timber Festival, NAMM, Any Patch of Grass, Belltown Bloom, Imagine Festival, Portland Folk Festival, Northwest Folklife, Shady Pines Festival and has played support slots for the artists East Forest, Simrit, Yaima, and Chinese American Bear. Shelby is also a 2026 recipient of the 4culture artist project grant and will be going to China with her band in the spring of 2027 to record a cross cultural collaborative album.
